I believe that being part of a support group is an integral part of processing the divorce experience. Learning and sharing with others on this difficult journey allows us to grow as people, partners, and parents.
As a CDC Certified Divorce Coach®, I am trained to help individuals experiencing divorce navigate the challenging logistics and emotions inherent in the process. With a desire to broaden the scope of this practice, I am currently pursuing a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I wish I had been a part of a support group when I went through my own divorce, but could not find one that felt like a good "fit". I was looking for a small, educational, non-denominational group led by credentialed professionals. I was also seeking an online experience to protect my privacy and work with my schedule. As a result, I founded Village Divorce Support to provide widely accessible, small group support for people on the divorce journey.
I am a graduate of Georgetown University (magna cum laude), the Taft School, and the Institute of Culinary Education. I was the owner/operator of CookPicnic.com catering company in Richmond, VA. I have three daughters and one very special Boston Terrier.
